ABOUT THE ROLE

Build production software with real clinical purpose.

HyperPath Solutions is building a new generation of digital pathology software at the intersection of medical imaging, cloud technology, workflow automation, and artificial intelligence.

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to design, build, and ship production software on a modern cloud stack. You will own significant pieces of our architecture from data model through deployment and help set the technical standards the rest of the team builds on.

This is a hands-on senior role for someone who writes excellent code, makes sound architectural decisions, and raises the bar for the people around them. You will work remotely alongside a distributed team, with the autonomy to solve hard problems and the accountability that comes with senior ownership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Your responsibilities

Design and build scalable, maintainable services and APIs in C# and modern .NET.
Model, query, and optimize relational data, primarily in PostgreSQL.
Define and manage cloud infrastructure as code while deploying and operating workloads on AWS.
Contribute to architecture decisions, technical design reviews, and coding standards.
Write clean, well-tested code and thoughtful pull request reviews.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability, performance, and observability.
Mentor other developers and share knowledge across the team.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

What we're looking for

Five or more years of professional software development experience, with deep expertise in C# and modern .NET, including .NET 6 or newer.
Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services.
Solid relational database skills, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
Hands-on experience deploying and running applications in a public cloud environment.
Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
A strong grasp of software architecture, testing practices, and Git-based version control.
Excellent written and verbal communication, which is essential on a remote team.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Helpful, but not required

AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, Lambda, RDS, S3, and IAM.
PostgreSQL in a production environment.
Pulumi for infrastructure as code. Terraform or comparable experience is also welcome.
AI coding agent-involved development workflows.
Containerization with Docker and related orchestration experience.
Architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture or Vertical Slice Architecture.
Experience mentoring or leading in a senior or lead capacity.
Open-source contributions.

LOCATION & ELIGIBILITY

A remote role based in Ohio

This is a fully remote position, but applicants must be residents of Ohio and legally authorized to work in the United States. HyperPath is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
